Genocide Commemoration at Collège St. Andre
Kigali, June 9th, 2013 - School Entrepreneurship Network (SEN Rwanda) joins Collège Saint André (CSA) Community on June 9th, 2013 as we remember students, teachers, staff and everybody else who were inhumanly killed in this school, 19 years ago during the 1994 Tutsi genocide. SEN Rwanda offers heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims and to the survivors who suffered through one of the most horrific events in history.
On this commemoration of 1994 Tutsi genocide at Collège Saint André, SEN Rwanda remembers all those who were lost in this tragedy, especially all entrepreneurs, and youth with entrepreneurial ideas, who were students, teachers, staff or alumni of this school.
Since the 1994 genocide, Rwandans are determined to strive for self-reliance; and our country has made remarkable achievements in various domains. Nowadays, the world is inspired by the commitment and determination of Rwandans, to move beyond the sorrow; and the fruits of entrepreneurial hardworking has remarkably rebuilt the national economy. Rwanda is currently an important contributor to global economy, delivering impressive results in economic growth and development.
As we honour the victims of the 1994 genocide, SEN Rwanda takes this time to focus its continued support towards the common goal of striving for self-reliance. We believe that this young generation of change-makers, especially those now being incubated in the entrepreneurship club of this school and the entire St. André community will be key stones in building Rwanda’s brighter future.
